a collection of sketches from places where i spent my time this summer
places include trinity bellwoods park, ella’s uncle, saving gigi, capital espresso, bloomers, and fueled.
planning on printing little books of these — would anyone actually be interested in purchasing one?
a collection of self-portraits from my sketchbook this summer
today i had the really cool opportunity to do the chalkboards at a new cafe/fresh bar that just opened up near my apartment called Fueled.
the owner basically gave me freedom to do what i wanted illustration-wise, based on other illustrations of mine he had seen.
so here’s what i came up with! some changes had been made after i took these photos (ex. the sans-serif “espresso, salads, juice” has been removed).
update: here’s a screenshot from the BlogTO review of Fueled showing my illustrations! check out the full article here.

Packaging for scented crayons made for a school project. The theme is nature/camp so the box resembles a matchbox, complete with a “match striking” strip made of sandpaper to use for sharpening the crayons.
A poster for Typography class. The assignment was to choose a list of our personal favourite typefaces and create a concept to display them and their info on a poster.
I really love sans serif typefaces but was afraid that they would all the the same if I used only sans serifs in my design, so I chose to use that dilemma as my concept.
working on a little personal project to attempt to come to terms with certain things in my life, as horribly cliche as that sounds. things have been pretty bumpy and i need to realize that it’s okay.
